We’re delighted to share that the EDS UK GP Toolkit has been adapted into a new Medscape Guideline Summary on Ehlers-Danlos syndromes (EDS) and hypermobility spectrum disorder (HSD).
Developed to support primary care professionals in recognising, diagnosing and managing EDS and HSD, the EDS UK GP Toolkit has become a trusted educational resource across the UK. Its inclusion in a Medscape Guideline Summary means this practical knowledge is now accessible to healthcare professionals through one of the world’s leading medical education platforms.
This is an important step in increasing awareness and understanding of EDS and HSD internationally, helping clinicians access reliable, evidence-informed information and feel more confident supporting patients. We’re proud to see EDS UK’s work contributing to education for healthcare professionals around the world.
It’s particularly fitting that this has been published during volunteers week as this wouldn’t have been possible without the help of our volunteers. An enormous thank you is due to Dr Emma Reinhold from our Medical Advisory Panel and Dr Jill Harrison from our board of trustees for all their help in checking through the summary.
